Welcome
I’m Allie Jayne, a Seattle trauma therapist, anxiety specialist & coach.
I help millennial women who were raised by emotionally immature parents break generational cycles, heal their trauma, and rediscover their Authentic Self.
This page used to be where I briefly described my credentials and specialties. It was carefully crafted to be matter-of-fact, distant but warm.
However, that was not an accurate expression of who I am and what it's like to work with me. I certainly can be matter-of-fact and warm, but I'm anything but distant.
I want this page to help you decide if we’ll work well together, not just list the things I’ve done (though I will at the end for those interested).
First, I'll share why I work with women who were raised by emotionally immature parents who struggle with anxiety, boundaries, and people pleasing:
because I've been there.
I know this experience & the pain that accompanies it very well.
I understand what it's like to develop self-limiting beliefs driven by emotional neglect, abuse & traumatic invalidation that creates pervasive shame & fear, and then display a watered-down version of myself to assure others are more comfortable.
As someone with ADHD, I especially know the emotion dysregulation that comes along with that.
The truth is, I wasn't born anxious or insecure – most of us aren't. My authentic state was calm, confident and I'll admit, a little spacey or “weird” as I often heard. But emotional neglect, abuse, traumatic invalidation and being scapegoated from a young age caused me to form negative beliefs about myself & others, which led to perfectionism, emotional numbing, and avoiding expressing myself genuinely. Intellectualizing problems became my shelter to hide under.
For a long time, I was driven by deep-rooted beliefs like “I have to be perfect to be lovable”, and “if I speak up, it means I'm causing problems & everyone just wants me to shut up & go away”, or “if I am vulnerable it will be weaponized against me”... until I embarked on the journey back to my Authentic Self.
While your experience is uniquely yours, I want you to know that I have fought through these struggles and have done my own personal inner work & trauma therapy to see the other side, and I am passionate about helping you do this too.
MY APPROACH
While I know the power of evidence-based psychotherapy and am proud to deliver therapy grounded in DBT-PE, I have also been intuitive and a lover of astrology for as long as I can remember.
Along my own journey, my intuition became injured from anxiety, expectations of others, and demands of the world. Through spirituality and astrology (in conjunction with therapy), I have rediscovered my soul purpose and found that I love helping others rediscover theirs.
Because of my personal experiences, I know the work it takes to transform and heal.
I work best with people who are so sick of suffering that they're willing to make some changes and try new behaviors. I can't change you. You have to change you and I am thrilled to help support you in that.
It is important to know that I am not a passive therapist who smiles and nods throughout each session.
I balance acceptance with change in my work with clients; meaning, I will accept and validate you, and I will help you to make necessary changes to transcend to your next level in healing. I'll encourage and cheer for you. I'll call you on your stuff and I'll gently challenge you. I'm not afraid to talk about anything you need to talk about—there is nothing to be ashamed of.
my core values
Authenticity
To show up with integrity, being radically genuine, real & honest. To embody all that is your uniqueness.
Transformation
True healing comes from our willingness to change on a deep cellular level, clearing out the ways trauma taught us to be to find our Authentic Self.
Freedom
To have a deep love of autonomy, courage to live life on your own terms, & be able to determine things for yourself.
Commitment
Maintaining steadfastness to what's important to us is a core element of building a Life Worth Living.
Connection
Recognizing & living in ways that prioritize our connectedness to ourselves, each other, & the world we're a part of.
Respect
Because we're all worthy of dignity & connected, even when we're different. This applies to all living things.
Now, if you are wondering if I am qualified or if I know what I'm doing:
Yes. I love what I do and am very good at it.

In 2024 I completed intensive training with Dr. Lorie Ritschel & Dr. Melanie Harned to deliver DBT-PE to effectively treat trauma. Before starting my private practice in 2022, I was the therapy team lead and primary DBT therapist at PHP and IOP programs in Bellevue, WA, where I worked with and was trained directly by Dr. Kathryn Korslund to effectively deliver Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to girls, women, and non-binary individuals experiencing depression, anxiety and stress disorders. I worked with hundreds of teens, adults and families, and taught countless DBT skills groups (my favorite).
Before I was a DBT therapist, I was a school-based therapist in FL where I was trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, and Trust Based Relational Interventions. I also interned at the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center in Jacksonville, FL, which specializes in helping girls and women, and survivors of human trafficking.

I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage & Family Counseling from Jacksonville University. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Flagler College.

As a Virgo rising, I love connecting with nature, the elements, and animals in my free time. I love going on adventures & experiencing new things, immersing myself in environments different than my own. At the same time, I'm very fixed by nature, & love nesting at home as well as visiting people & places from my past that bring me joy & comfort.
My husband, cat, and close friends mean the world to me & spending quality time with them or at least connecting over the phone is important to me. Additionally, I try to balance my time by prioritizing the things that keep me grounded like spiritual practices, meditation, and pilates.
And let's be real... a fair amount of my time goes to projects around the house that I'm sure my husband & cat wish would stop, or watching Vanderpump Rules (this is an invitation to talk TV shows with me!).
